I have been reflecting on the idea of resilience lately. I think everyone has some resilience, but I think we overlook it unless life gets particularly difficult. In my opinion, everyday life takes some resilience. Dealing with aggressive drivers, cranky bosses, rawdy children, tired spouses, bills, chores, .....life, helps us develop a certain amount of resilience each day from that everyday stuff. In the same way that we can grow our confidence by celebrating small successes and letting them build and encourage us to take on bigger and bigger challenges, could we celebrate our resilience to the small stuff and let it strengthen us for the days that are more challenging so that we can manuever the hurdles and get to the other side of the bridge successfully?
