So as we are tying up one grant, heading into high season for the conference and looking at where AKPSC will grow in the future I am left thinking about where we have come from. The Consortium, as we are sometime called, grew from the passion of local groups wanting to come together to support each other while they each took on the challenges of their home communities. While we may have underestimated the challenges in supporting one another from around the state, I hear from each of you as we connect in various ways that you feel the connection is important, so thank you for all you contribute.
Looking forward, The Peer Power Conference is November 8-11 at the Hilton in Downtown Anchorage. Look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible.
This weeks photo is one of my favorite places to relax when life is getting too complicated for me. Can you guess where?? You're welcome to email me if you have a guess. send your guesses to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will let you know if you're correct.
Last weeks photo was taken on a trip to Kodiak Island during our search for white sand beaches, which was instigated at the hands of a WRAP training participant. Great views!!
