The vision of the Education Council is that individuals and families will have access to well-trained and effective peer support services statewide, and there will be a fully integrated, unique, and accessible peer support workforce.
The Council members guide and create the Consortium’s trainings and conferences, and grant scholarships.

The vision of the Advocacy Council is for peer support services to become an essential, integrated piece of an effective, recovery oriented behavioral health system in Alaska.
Council members write position papers, and coordinate public comment at policy boards by Consortium members and staff. The Council members develop good ongoing personal relationships with their local representatives and statewide policy makers, and lead the coordinated advocacy efforts of members. The council also develops brochures, posters, and advocacy tools.
