History
The Alaska Peer Support Consortium was established in 2002 by several peer support groups who didn’t want to compete with each other over the limited funding that was available to them. Instead they decided to cooperatively apply for grants. From there we have grown to include a focus on organization to organization peer support, technical assistance, collective advocacy and recovery education and trainings. We have 28 members currently, from all over the state.
